Georgina Burnett, also known as “The Home Genie” is a well-respected figure in the DIY and property world. She has been investing and developing properties since 2009 and shares her knowledge and her ideas through her blog and YouTube Channel, The Home Genie. “The other reasons I went for the Korniche Lantern were, that it’s a fully aluminium structure, and it’s stronger than a lot of lanterns on the market because of its minimal structure of larger areas with fewer rafters.”
She also praises the slim and sexy profile of the lantern, “you have uninterrupted sight lines which is so much more attractive”.
As with any product including glass, the Thermal Efficiency is crucial. “Obviously, when you have a lot of glass, you have to consider heat loss,” Georgina addresses the concern, “the Korniche Lantern has a thermally broken system with industry-leading Q-lon gaskets and U-values from 1.2. While Georgina had the option for a bespoke RAL colour, she ultimately chose anthracite grey with a slight tint on the glass to reduce glare.
